McKinsey maintaining revenues the key to merger success
A new study by McKinsey reveals the key to a successful takeover lies in securing post-merger revenue streams, rather than the more traditional focus on cost-cutting.

Other consultancies, including AT Kearney, Boston Consulting Group, KPMG and PA Consulting, have in recent years produced reports showing mergers typically destroy rather than create value.

The McKinsey report is somewhat different, in that it focusses on what firms must do to be successful, as opposed to highlighting the failure rate. read more
Arthur D Little Investor group seeking majority stake in ADL
ADL has begun exclusive negotiations with a group of US VC investors looking to buy a majority share in the firm.

ADL spokesman David Lampe said a deal would most likely be completed by the end of the year.
