Boxwood takes on the Alps
The challenge is to get from Thonon-les-Bains, on the banks of Lake Geneva to Menton, by the Mediterranean Sea.
In six days the team will cover over 650km and climb in excess of 15,000 metres, over some of the highest peaks in the Alps.
There will be plenty of pain and suffering involved, all in the aid of two outstanding causes.
Research Autism is the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to research into treatments, approaches and therapies in autism. The Boxwood team of Stephen Davey, Doug Clayton, Jon Dakin, Philip Hay-Jahans and Richard Holloway are trying to raise as much money as possible. Visit their page at Virgin Giving and donate generously for a worthwhile cause.
Throughout the Tour, the team will be updating the blog on their page so the details of their personal turmoil will be available for all to see.
