Capgemini names North America Chief Marketing Officer
Capgemini has appointed Christopher K. Williams as vice president and North America chief marketing officer (CMO). Williams is responsible for leading the strategic positioning of the company, driving marketing and communication strategy and leveraging the company's strong focus on innovation across the company's consulting, technology and outsourcing services in North America.
Williams brings to Capgemini more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development for information technology and professional services companies. Prior to joining Capgemini, he held CMO roles for technology solutions and consulting companies including Expand Networks and Fujitsu Consulting, where he was responsible for developing global strategy and positioning, as well as increasing revenue streams across each company.
“Chris has the perfect portfolio of experience to lead Capgemini's marketing strategy in North America, and we are delighted to have him on board,” said Lanny Cohen, chief executive officer, Capgemini's Consulting and Technology Services business in North America. “Chris has a proven track record of establishing leadership positions for services companies which we believe will help accelerate the adoption of Capgemini's unique value propositions for our clients in North America.”
“I'm excited to be part of a company that embraces its multicultural heritage and takes a truly global approach to business,” said Williams. “As our North American clients face increased pressure to be more competitive in the global marketplace, they rely on Capgemini to help them improve operational efficiencies while transforming their businesses to focus on driving innovation and increasing revenue.”
Williams, who spent 14 years in Europe, attended Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., where he earned a Master's of Business Administration in International Business and Finance as well as a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing. He is a longtime advisor to the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA), sits on the Board of Advisors for Connotate Technologies and ePostmarks, and has been a contributing author on topics such as sales force automation and consulting services trends to publications including CRM Magazine and ebizChronicle.com.
