Due to take place at The Barbican in London, the end of August is a key milestone for those interested in the event.
Consultancy Careers Fair – only two weeks left
From the exhibitors’ perspective, 31st August is the last date for reserving stand space at the Fair. That’s because, from September onwards, candidates registering for the event can upload their CV and choose to make it available to selected recruiters to review in advance of the Fair. “Last year we know a number of consulting employers went to great lengths to review CVs prior to the event – and in some cases even conducted initial interviews on the day of the Fair having picked out the candidates of greatest interest” commented Top-Consultant Director and co-founder Tony Restell.
“The CV database imposes on us a cut-off deadline of 31st August, after which time no additional recruiters can register” concluded Restell. Not that many last minute bookings are expected, with 52 organisations already having booked to exhibit at the fair – meaning that around 500 recruiters and company representatives will be on hand to meet with candidates on the day.
Visitors to this year’s Fair will be able to meet three of the “Big 4” accountancy firms – Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG; many of the world’s leading consulting brands such as Accenture, Atos Consulting, BT and IBM; plus a diverse range of exciting niche firms like Capco, Curzon, Detica, expw: consulting and Troika.
The Consultancy Careers Fair is being marketed more extensively than ever this year, to ensure firms have the chance to interact with a broad range of top-flight consulting candidates. An extensive advertising campaign in the Evening Standard has been running throughout the summer months, adding to promotion from the Management Consultancies Association and the Institute of Business Consulting. Vault and MCN Direct are just two more of the many marketing partners that have been signed up to maximise the reach of the 2007 event.
The organisers are now concerned that tickets may not be available to purchase on the day of the fair if the current volumes of candidate registrations continue in the coming weeks. An announcement about this will be made early in October. Those readers wanting to be sure of having a place should register in advance at:
