BearingPoint wins SAP Pinnacle award for thought leadership in enterprise SOA
BearingPoint was bestowed with two prestigious SAP recognitions recently in a ceremony held in conjunction with SAPPHIRE'07 Vienna, SAP's international customer conference, held May 14 -16.
The SAP Pinnacle Awards follow a competitive nomination process and demonstrate BearingPoint's insight and innovation which align with SAP's strategic direction as a technology platform leader. BearingPoint was awarded the Pinnacle Awards for its pioneering role and commitment to innovation and excellence in the "Enterprise SOA – Thought Leadership" arena, and for "Regional Excellence – EMEA" for the firm's highly successful collaboration in Central Europe on client projects in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Benelux countries.
"The award for Enterprise SOA Thought Leadership recognizes BearingPoint's efforts to help our clients transform their organizations toward seamless, collaborative virtual business ecosystems," stated Aysin Neville, senior vice president and Global SAP Alliance Leader. "BearingPoint's strong perspective and insightful leadership on technologies and approaches such as eSOA and composite applications allow our customers to build better networks that connect their customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders."
The Pinnacle Award for Enterprise SOA – Thought Leadership is one in a series of BearingPoint SAP successes around the initiative. The company also recently:
* Opened an SAP Center of Excellence for Enterprise SOA in Walldorf for the EMEA region
* Opened an SAP Center of Excellence in Sao Paolo, Brazil, dedicated to the Latin America Utilities industry, and for development of the next generation of enterprise-level service-oriented architecture and business-process platform solutions, as well as innovative, verticalized composite applications
* Together with SAP jointly developed an xAPP solution for B2B transaction of electronic invoices (xNFE) in Latin America.
* Built up an SAP Advisory Solution Team to provide strategic SAP services around Enterprise SOA.
* In 2006, BearingPoint also won an SAP Pinnacle Award for the development and innovation of Composite Applications, centred around a new solution Business Acquisition Management (BAMS) for the aerospace and defence industries to support acquisition processes, on the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.
