USAID awards BearingPoint $19.8 million contract
BearingPoint has been awarded a contract by the United States Agency for International Development to support efforts to implement economic growth reforms in Serbia. The four-and-a-half-year contract is valued at $19.8 million.
BearingPoint's Emerging Markets practice is active in approximately 60 nations worldwide, providing management, economic, and technology consulting services to developed and developing economies.
This new contract continues USAID's economic reform activities in Serbia, and under the award, BearingPoint will continue its role in helping to strengthen Serbia's financial sector and public finance infrastructure. Financial sector reforms will focus on strengthening the banking, insurance and private pension systems. Public finance initiatives will focus on enhancing Serbia's tax administration and social security systems.
BearingPoint has been involved in Serbian economic reform since 2001 working with USAID and the Serbian government.
“Serbia is truly a case study for how BearingPoint's unique consulting expertise can help governments implement modern economic functionality, improve economic policy and promote private sector growth,” said James Horner, senior vice president of BearingPoint's Emerging Markets practice. “We are excited to continue our work on this important engagement for USAID and the government of Serbia.”
