BearingPoint appoints Robert Sandberg Treasurer
BearingPoint has appointed Robert Sandberg Treasurer for the company. He will be responsible for all treasury functions including cash management and forecasting, investments and foreign exchange operations. Sandberg has extensive experience in corporate development and M&A;, financial planning, pension management and corporate compliance.
“[ Sandberg] will be a key player in ongoing initiatives to strengthen our financial controls and budgeting processes, realizing benefits for our clients, employees and shareholders,” said Judy Ethell, BearingPoint's Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer.
Sandberg joins BearingPoint after more than 25 years at AT&T;, most recently as Assistant Treasurer, where he oversaw capital markets, corporate finance and corporate compliance. Previously he was director of corporate development and M&A;, leading teams that evaluated and structured large acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and global alliances. He also served as a manager in the strategy and planning department at AT&T; in addition to holding earlier positions in the capital corporation and pension fund.
Sandberg will report to Ethell and will be based in BearingPoint's New York City office.
