BearingPoint names Eric Goldfarb as CIO
BearingPoint has named Eric Goldfarb as its Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Goldfarb will be responsible for developing and delivering BearingPoint's global IT strategy, including global business applications and technology platforms. In addition, Goldfarb will also work with BearingPoint's senior management to ensure the company's IT strategy is aligned with corporate business objectives.
Goldfarb has 20 years of experience in tying management and technology together. He most recently held the title of Executive Vice President and CIO of PRG Schultz International, Inc. where he was responsible for directing the firm's worldwide information technology team, and overseeing the company's capital technology investments, strategy, and services. Prior to that, Goldfarb served as CIO of Global Knowledge, Inc., where he provided leadership for the company's worldwide technology group. He has also served as Vice President, CIO/CTO for Macmillan USA, CIO for Elder Beerman Stores Corporation, and held IT executive roles with the Limited, Inc.
Goldfarb is a recognized leader in the discipline of applying IT to business needs. He has co-authored and published several books and numerous articles in the field. He was recognized by ComputerWorld magazine as one of the business world's “Premier 100 IT Leaders.”
