As the lead architect, Internosis will work with Booz Allen to design, develop and deploy the foundation for the infrastructure. The team will begin by building a state-of-the-art enterprise messaging system, without compromising the security of either client data or Booz Allen's intellectual capital.
"This project is the largest IT investment in the firm's history," said George Tillmann, CIO, Booz Allen Hamilton. "We recognize the magnitude and responsibility of the assignment and are looking forward to bringing a powerful new platform to our staff worldwide," he added.
During this project, Internosis, Microsoft and Booz Allen will implement a Microsoft Exchange-based backbone and a variety of new technologies to support email, shared calendar, instant messaging, project management and information worker productivity. Future phases will build on this foundation by incorporating portal technology, intelligent search, document sharing, eLearning, and records management capabilities.
