This event will bring together top business leaders from throughout the Americas to share their business experiences and celebrate their successes.

To honor the awardees, PODER and The Boston Consulting Group have organized an event in Coral Gables, Florida, on March 3rd, 2004. The keynote address will be delivered by Bill Emmott, Editor in Chief of The Economist.

PODER and The Boston Consulting Group formed a selection committee that screened major companies across Latin America and the United States, taking input from their network of offices, partners and news correspondents in various countries to identify a long list of CEO's of leading companies that had made remarkable achievements over the past years. After researching each candidate, a final selection process determined the most outstanding cases to be recognized this year.

Amongst those recognized for their excellence in business are: Gustavo Cisneros, Chairman of the Cisneros Group of Companies, as Global Business Leader; Emilio Azcarraga Jean, Chairman of Televisa, for Best Turnaround Strategy; Raul Romero, Chairman of S&B; Infrastructure Industry, as the Most Influential Hispanic in the United States; Sam Keller, Director of Art Basel, for Best Cultural Project; Juan Beckman, Chairman of Tequila Cuervo, for Lifetime Achievement; Juan Villarzu, CEO of Codelco, for Best Managed State Owned Enterprise; Raul Calfat, CEO of Votorantim for Best New CEO; Luis Sito, Publisher of Hoy Newspaper, for Best New Media Venture.
