She is the first woman to be head of ADL. She said ADL has stabilized in the past few months under her leadership, following the firm’s recent troubles. ''We have refocused our global management consulting business,'' she said, ''trimming down excess capacity that we had in the telecom sector.'' As a result, McNamara said, ADL should return to profitability this quarter.
