  Hervé Payan joins Atos Origin as executive VP of Global Consulting, tasked with consolidating the company’s consulting business into a single global service line.



Atos Origin names global consulting head

Atos Origin has appointed Hervé Payan as Executive Vice President Global Consulting.

One of Hervé Payan’s main objectives will be to consolidate all consulting activities into a global service line. With more than 2,500 staff globally, Atos Consulting brings an innovative approach to business processes, well-integrated supporting technologies and strategic investments in people to the telecom, manufacturing, financial services and public sector markets.

Hervé Payan is a member of Atos Origin Executive Committee and is also acting as Global Sales and Markets Executive Vice President. This appointment is in line with the strategy of globalizing the company and follows the announcement made by Thierry Breton, Atos Origin CEO and Chairman of the Board, of a new organization on February 18th. Hervé Payan reports to Gilles Grapinet, Senior Executive Vice-President of Atos Origin, in charge of Global Functions.

Hervé comes from Steria where he was Group Consulting and Business Development Director. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, Hervé began his career as a consultant at Arthur Andersen Management. In 1991, he moved to Singapore to work for BNP, a leading financial analyst. In 1993, he joined Capgemini as Manager in the Banking and Telecoms division. From 1997 to 2002, he was Director at the Paris office of consulting firm AT Kearney.

Before joining Steria in March 2007, he was from mid 2005, Director of the Consulting business at EDS Consulting EMEA, where he led a team of 1,200 consultants in 12 countries.
