ACCA’s decision to outsource to Atos Origin is part of its corporate strategy to be the first-choice qualification to people who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management.

ACCA outsources IT to Atos Origin

Atos Origin has won a five-year contract worth £8 million with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants. Under the new contract, Atos Origin will take over management of the IT infrastructure that supports its 122,000 members and 325,000 students worldwide through a network of 80 offices and centres.

Atos Origin will use its global sourcing model to deliver an improved service from its offices in the UK and from its service desk in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Atos Origin will lead a transformation programme to ensure that the IT infrastructure can better handle peaks in usage, for example, just before the deadline for examination entries and when the examination results are first published.

"We have been really impressed by Atos Origin and the team that they have put forward. It has shown a deep understanding of our organisation and the specific challenges and opportunities that we face today," said Russell Price, ACCA IT Director. "I believe that by working together we will be able to transform and improve our technology to deliver improved services to our students, members and employers."

"We are delighted to welcome ACCA as a new client and are committed to working with them to transform and improve the IT infrastructure so that it supports the organisation and its members worldwide in the long-term," said Paul Bray, vice president for Enterprise at Atos Origin.
